SYDNEY DESALINATION PLANT
Concrete Monitoring
Due to our extensive related experience SASTTI JV was engaged by the Plant operators (Veolia Water), to undertake a condition assessment of the concrete structures within the plant. Some of the structures inspected included water retaining structures, chemical bunds, switchrooms, filters and pumping stations. In total over 25 different structures were inspected.
KIRRIBILLI AQUEDUCT
Rehabilitation
Due to our extensive experience and reputation for providing innovative solutions to challenging problems SASTTI JV was engaged by Sydney Water to complete the design for the rehabilitation of Kirribilli Aqueduct. The strong relationship shared between SASTTI JV, Sydney Water and the Delivery Contractor was key to successfully delivering these works.
BANKSTOWN ELEVATED RESERVOIR
Earthquake Analysis
Sydney Water commissioned SASTTI JV to carry out an extensive investigation and assessment of Bankstown Elevated Reservoir. The focus of the project was to determine the stability of the reservoir under earthquake loadings in accordance with current standards and to determine the susceptibility of the structure to damage during an earthquake event. Bankstown Elevated Reservoir is one of 11 elevated reservoirs where earthquake analysis was completed by SASTTI JV.
SYDNEY'S LARGE TRUNK SEWERS
Inspection & Condition Assessment
Like all major infrastructure, the sewer system requires regular monitoring in order to determine the condition and any maintenance required. Of particular concern is how long the sewers will remain operational or their Years to End of Service Life. Over the past 20 years SASTTI JV has been routinely engaged by Sydney Water to conduct these inspections.

Desilting and Rehabilitation
SASTTI JV personnel have been involved with the inspection and condition assessment of the NSOOS since 1990. This intrinsic knowledge of the NSOOS experienced over time including an understanding of the mechanism of failure, operational conditions, changes in the environment and challenges of working in a live sewer were key factors our engagement as the design consultant. SASTTI JV worked collaboratively with Sydney Water and Delivery Contractors to tackle the problems relating to excessive silt build up and concrete deterioration.
